DIY Lemon Table Decor

Sharing is caring!

Bringing the essence of summer into your home is easier than you think with this simple yet elegant DIY lemon table decor. Combining the bright, sunny vibes of faux lemons with the beauty of blue hydrangeas, this arrangement is perfect for adding a splash of color and joy to any room. Here’s how to create your own:

Materials Needed:

  • Faux blue hydrangeas (I used a spray that contained both lemons and hydrangeas)
  • Artificial lemons. Be sure to check this blog post if you need help finding quality artificial floral supplies.
  • Filler flowers. I added silk daisies.
  • Faux Greenery (I like to use at least three different greens, including the one in the spray)
  • Floral foam
  • A vase or container of your choice
  • Wire cutters
  • Floral tape

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Your Container: Start by gluing floral foam into your container. This foam will hold all the elements of your arrangement in place. Place a small amount of Spanish moss around the edges of the foam.
  2. Green Your Base: Be sure to add some low to fall over the side of the container and “break the plane of the container.”
  3. Trim Your Stems: If you are not using a spray, using wire cutters, trim the stems of your blue hydrangeas to the desired height, ensuring they fit nicely in your container.
  4. Arrange the Hydrangeas: Insert the hydrangea stems into the floral foam, distributing them evenly around the vase. Remember to leave space for the lemons and greenery.
  5. Add Lemons: Attach a pick to your artificial lemons. Insert the lemons into the floral foam among the hydrangeas. Arrange them at varying heights for a natural look.
  6. Incorporate More Greenery: Fill in the gaps with greenery. This adds depth and a touch of realism to your arrangement.
  7. Final Touches: Adjust the stems and lemons as needed to create a balanced, pleasing look.

Tips for Success:

  • Vary the Heights: Creating variation in height among the elements adds interest to your arrangement.
  • Choose Quality Materials: High-quality artificial flowers and fruits look more realistic and last longer, enhancing the beauty of your decor.
  • Customize: Feel free to experiment with different color combinations or add other elements like twigs or different flowers to personalize your arrangement.

Conclusion:

Creating an artificial floral arrangement with faux lemons and blue hydrangeas is a delightful way to brighten your home. Not only does it add a touch of summer charm, but it’s also a fun, creative project that you can enjoy making. Whether you’re decorating your own space or selling to others, this DIY is sure to bring joy and beauty into any home.
